OUR ATTORNEYS

​​Nelson M. Michael
 

Nelson M. Michael was born in Keyser, WV in 1948. He graduated from Bruce High School in Westernport, MD in 1966. From high school, Mr. Michael went on to Frostburg State University, where he graduated in 1970. He attended West Virginia University College of Law, graduating in 1973. 

From 1977 to 1980, Mr. Michael was the Mineral County prosecuting attorney. Mr. Michael also served 6 years as the Mental Hygiene Commissioner for Mineral County, and he served 10 years as the Deputy Commissioner for Forfeited and Delinquent Land. 

Currently, Mr. Michael is the counsel for the Keyser Inn, Inc.; president and CEO of Mountaineer Liquors, Inc., member of Michael Brothers Enterprises, LLC; owner and operator of Clancy’s Irish Pub, and a member of Pine View Investments, LLC.

Mr. Michael has been engaged in the practice of law in Keyser, WV continuously since August 1973. He has been the President and CEO of Nelson M. Michael, L.C. since 1988. Mr. Michael’s practices general law with a concentration in personal injury, wrongful death, civil litigation, real estate, and wills and estates.

 

​​David Collins
 

David Collins joined Nelson M. Michael, L.C. in 2009 and is admitted to practice law before all state and federal courts in West Virginia.  Mr. Collins concentrates his practice in the areas of civil and criminal litigation, personal injury, and real estate.

 

Mr. Collins is a graduate from West Virginia University College of Law, where he served as Publications Editor of the West Virginia Law Review.  While in law school, Mr. Collins served as a research assistant to Professor Vincent Cardi and as a student reference librarian at the College of Law Library.   During his third year, Mr. Collins’ student note was published in the West Virginia Law Review.  Prior to attending law school, Mr. Collins worked for the Preservation Directorate at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.  

​​Tyler S. Rohrbaugh
 

Tyler S. Rohrbaugh graduated from West Virginia University College of Law.  The Keyser native graduated from Keyser High School in 2008 attended Potomac State College before transferring to WVU where he graduated with Bachelor’s degrees in both History and Geography with additional certificate in Geographic Information Systems in 2012. He interned with the Mineral County Prosecuting graduated in the summers of 2013 and 2014.  He graduated from the WVU College of Law in May 2015.  

 

During his final year at WVU Law, he received a Pro Bono Distinction for his volunteer service in mediation proceedings in Harrison County and his unpaid internship with the Mineral County Prosecutor.   He was selected to join Moot Court as a second year law student and traveled with the WVU law school team that competed in the New York Law School Employment Law competition in the spring of 2014, competed in the WVU College of Law Moot Court Competition, and also competed in the National Criminal Procedure competition at San Diego University in the fall of 2015 and progressed to the advanced rounds.  He served as WVU Lugar Trail Coordinator and competed in the 2014 WVU Lugar Trial Competition.

 

Mr. Rohrbaugh served as a student attorney in the WVU College of Law Clinical Law Program.  Throughout this final year, he worked 20 hours a week under the supervision of a licensed attorney.  Case load included family law such as divorce and custody cases and also property disputes.
